MAXOL EVENING HERALD FANTASY GRAND PRIX
Maxol and the Evening Herald have announced the winners of the Fantasy Grand prix competition.
Jason Rigney from Coolock won first prize of £6000 for his team CKOne. Jason works for Novum Oversees, which is a refrigeration technology company and he is getting married in January 2001 so his prize money will come in very handy indeed.
Jason’s team details include Ferrari & Super Tec engines, McLaren & Sauber chassis and drivers Gaston Mazzacani, Jacques Villeneuv and Jenson Button.
Six people tied for third place in the Fantasy Grand Prix so it has been decided that the prize fund for 2nd and 3rd places would be divided among the 6 runners up. They each received a cheque for £667.
2,943 teams took part in the competition which kicked off in March with the Australian Grand prix and the team updates for all 13 Prix were printed in the Evening Herald and posted on the Maxol website after each race ending in October with the Japanese Grand Prix.
The names of the winners and runner-ups were printed in Saturday’s (18th Nov) Evening Herald’s entertainment section.
