MAXOL ANNOUNCES LOWEST HOME HEAT PRICES IN OVER A DECADE AND REDUCTIONS AT THE PUMP FOR MOTORISTS
Maxol, Europe’s leading independent oil company which is entirely Irish-owned, today announced that it is reducing all of its main grades of petroleum products, with effect from midnight tonight.
Maxol Chief Executive Tom Noonan, commenting on the announcement, said: "The excellent news for Irish consumers is that the cost of heating their homes has never been lower in recent memory." In fact, Maxol’s wholesale prices for the two main home heating oil products – gas oil and kerosene – have been reduced to Autumn 1986 levels.
Traditionally, prices harden when demand for these products increases during the autumn and winter; consequently, placing an immediate order with one of Maxol’s thirty authorised distributors will result in a real bargain for consumers.
Oil was demonstrated to be a more price competitive option for home heating than either natural gas or coal in a recent survey. (Source: Sutherland Associates. All rights reserved.)
Additionally, motorists will in the coming days enjoy reductions in the pump price of Maxol’s motor fuels, as follows:
Unleaded down by 0.7 pence per litre
Autodiesel down by 0.6 pence per litre
Premium (Leaded) down by 0.5 pence per litre
Super Unleaded down by 0.7 pence per litre
