MAXOL CELEBRATES 40 YEAR ASSOCIATION WITH MAHON OIL

Maxol, Europe’s leading independent oil company, is pleased to announce the 40th anniversary of its association with one of its first distributors, Mahon Oil in Tullamore.

Mahon oil began its association with Maxol as an appointed distributor in 1960 when Denis and Bernadette Mahon started their then small family business. In 1989 Dennis was joined by his son Greg Mahon and daughter in law, Mary. Mahon Oil now have three oil tankers on the road two of which are driven by local men, Pat Bracken from Screggan, Paul Hand from Killure, while the third is driven by Greg Mahon.

On the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the association between Mahon Oil and Maxol, Denis Mahon said;

"Oil companies and their distributors have always faced strong competition and it is a tribute to Maxol, an Irish company and ourselves that we have endured throughout, while other oil companies have disappeared. I would sincerely like to thank Maxol for their contribution to the growth and development of Mahon Oil, along with all of my customers who have supported me down the years".
