MAXOL LAUNCHES A NEW HEADING OIL SERVICE FOR THE NORTH EAST
Maxol, by far the largest entirely Irish-owned oil company, has launched Maxol Direct, its first direct to consumer and small business oil company. It will be based in Drogheda at Maxol’s existing North Eastern Terminal. Employing five people locally, Maxol Direct will initially service the Louth, Meath and North Dublin regions with local businesses, homes and farms able to order competitively priced fuel directly through the Maxol Direct Free Phone Number 1800 21 81 99. A wholly owned subsidiary of the Maxol Group, Maxol Direct will operate Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 5.30pm and on Saturday from 9.30am to 12.30pm.
The good news from Maxol for Drogheda does not stop there, however, as it also plans to meet the highest European environmental standards by investing £2 million in upgrading the company’s North East Terminal on the Marsh Road. This will ensure that Drogheda and its environs will be able to rely on its own oil-importing terminal for many years to come.
Maxol has also been making other vital investments in the Region recently. In the last eighteen months, the company has built three new filling stations in the Drogheda area alone (on North Road, Duleek Street and Brookville) offering state of the art services and Mace convenience shopping facilities to the rapidly expanding local community.
Speaking at the launch of Maxol Direct, Tom Noonan, Chief Executive, the Maxol Group, said:

Maxol is entirely Irish owned by the McMullan family, and is Ireland's third largest oil company. It has a combined turnover of £300 million and a network of over 400 service stations throughout the island.
