Tax Rebate on Focus FFV Now in Place as Biofuel Network Expands |

Cork , 25 May 2006 - Following the updating of systems at the Vehicle Registration Office, the special tax rebate on the Ford Focus FlexiFuel Vehicle (FFV) is now available to customers at the point of purchase. Previously customers had to reclaim the rebate of over €2,500 from the Government.
The 5-door Focus FFV, running on any combination of conventional petrol or renewable E85 bioethanol, costs just €20,368* after the rebate.
Meanwhile, Ford’s fuel partner in this initiative, Maxol, has now made bioethanol available at its stations in Sandymount, Crumlin and Drumcondra in Dublin and Tivoli in Cork . The biofuel, sourced from Carbery in Co Cork, will soon be available in Drogheda, Navan and Waterford .
