Maxol Invests £100,000 To Give Business Car Users More Control Over Their Fuel Costs

MAXOL INVEST £100,000 TO GIVE BUSINESS CAR USERS MORE CONTROL OVER THEIR FUEL COSTS

Following the recent Budget increases in fuel tax, Maxol, Europe's leading independent oil company, has announced an investment of over £100,000 in the latest technology to upgrade its fuel card scheme, designed to assist its business customers control their fuel costs.

Business users who spend over £1,500 per year on fuel, can now obtain vital management information on individual vehicle performance through a full fleet analysis report. This information enables the business user to monitor fleet fuel consumption and cost per mile for each individual vehicle.

The Maxol Chargecard offers one of the longest interest free credit periods available on any fuel charge card - up to 45 days in total, helping to free up working capital and benefit cash flow. All purchase details appear on a single invoice with VAT shown separately, so just 12 monthly invoices take care of the annual VAT returns.

The new card can be tailored to meet individual needs. It can be -

    * driver specific - made out in the name of an individual entitling them to purchase fuel for any vehicle
    * vehicle specific - the card is made out in the registration number of an authorised vehicle and entitles any cardholder to purchase fuel
    * a company card - the card is issued in the name of a business entitling any cardholder to purchase fuel for any vehicle and
    * Maxol Mastercard - the card is held at a nominated petrol station and can be used by any authorised users.

As a further means of cost control for businesses the card can be valid for fuel only, fuel and lubricants or fuel, lubricants and car wash.

Brian Donaldson, Group Marketing Manager of Maxol, says: With fuel prices having risen as a result of last months Budget, it is becoming increasingly crucial that car users, and particularly fleet managers, control their costs. The features of our relaunched Charge Card were derived from extensive research carried out on business users both in the north and south of Ireland. One of the main findings of the research was the need to monitor fuel consumption more closely. As a result of these findings our Charge Card has been completely redesigned from brochure through to the card itself to provide exactly what the business user wants.

For those business users who spend over £2,000 a month on fuel, Maxol has introduced a Goldcard which offers the benefit of additional rewards linked to the level of fuel purchase, opportunities to join in Maxol Corporate Hospitality Events and entry into free quarterly prize draws.

The launch of the new Maxol Charge Card is being supported by an extensive marketing campaign backed up by a dedicated sales team, pump nozzle advertising, direct mail and business press coverage.
