‘Points Plus’ Gains Plus Points In Promotional Scheme Stakes

Maxol’s new loyalty scheme, Points Plus, has been voted highly commended in the category of ‘Best Oil Company Initiative’ at the 1999 Forecourt Trader of the Year Awards in London.

The Points Plus scheme, which was introduced in both Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland in July, was commended for its ‘implementation and ease of use’. Customers collect points when they purchase Maxol fuel, lubricants or a car wash. Once they have a full card, it can be instantly redeemed for Marks & Spencer gift vouchers (each full card gets a £5 voucher) or used to get discount on Maxol fuel.

The £750,000 initiative has been supported by extensive marketing and PR activity.

Brian Donaldson, Group Marketing Manager of Maxol, says: "This award further demonstrates Maxol’s commitment to premium forecourt retailing, through the strategy of ‘giving something back to the customer’. It is an achievement that we are extremely proud of, particularly in today’s highly competitive market. We look forward to continuing with its success."

You can obtain a Maxol Points Plus loyalty card from your local Maxol forecourt.
