McGonigle's Maxol Service Station in Muff is Tops for Service Area


 Joe and Marie McGonigle, owner operators of the Maxol service station in Muff and staff have beat off stiff competition from Maxol stations across Ireland to win an award for the best staff team performance in their category.

The Maxol Staff Team Award forms part of Maxol’s Optimum Standards awards scheme, which promotes and recognizes excellence in retail standards and customer care throughout its network of service stations. The awards, which are now in their 10th year, are organised and run by Maxol’s head office, and incorporate 150 Maxol service stations in both Northern and Southern Ireland.

Judging was conducted via formal inspections by Maxol senior management at participating Maxol stations over the four-month period from April to July. In addition an independent agency conducted mystery motorist visits to observe and report on the quality of service offered to customers.

Commenting at the presentation of the award, Ronnie Downey, Maxol Area Manager, said:

“I would like to congratulate Joe, Marie and their team for winning this coveted award. The scheme was developed to ensure that customers can expect the best from Maxol, including quality retailing and premium customer care and so that the best levels of service and amenities are maintained on Maxol forecourts. This award acknowledges Joe, Marie’s and their team’s commitment to achieving this goal.”
