The staff of Millie Walsh’s Maxol Service Station on the Dublin Road in Mullingar have been honoured in the 2005/2006 Maxol Retail Business Awards, picking up the Maxol Award for the best performing staff team.
Now in its 13th year the Maxol Awards scheme was created to promote and reward excellence in retail standards and customer care throughout its network of service stations. The awards are organised annually by Maxol, with over 200 participating service stations.
Judging for this award was conducted via formal inspections by Maxol senior management at participating Maxol stations over four three-month periods. In addition an independent agency conducted mystery motorist visits to observe and report on the quality of service offered to customers during the same periods.
Millie Walsh and his team scored 100% in every mystery motorist visit carried out during the year. This excellence in customer service together with the maintenance of consistently high standards on the forecourt won Millie and his team the award.
